Leisure@cheltenham is still on track to welcome back customers late this summer, after significant progress in the last month. The latest reinstatement work at the centre has involved preparing the floors for the new coverings and getting the squash court floors installed.

The centre`s contractors have been using specialist equipment to carry out high level cleaning of the roof structure. Elsewhere in the centre, work is continuing well on the new studio.

Mechanical and electrical reinstatement work is also continuing to go well with the fitting of major building services equipment and `power on` to the wetside. This work is on-going, with the next phase being the installation of the sauna and steam room and the fitting of internal doors.

The pools are now filled and work is ongoing in the sports hall and gym, with the new equipment to be installed soon
