The Leftbank Bar is well-known in Bristol for being a vibrant and independant bar, host to a wide variety of exciting events; for example our very successful and well attended Open Mic night on a Wednesday; live music hosted by various independant promoters every Thursday; our regular party night, Flipside Fridays, which attracts some of the finest DJs and party-goers in the South-West and Spoken Word nights (Poetry and Comedy) on Sundays.
OPEN MIC - We have a fantastic Open Mic night every Wednesday night here at Leftbank, hosted be the lovely Ollie Dennison. Friends and newcomers bring an eclectic mix of talent and styles and rounds off the night with an open jaminvite all musicians to play together until the early hours.. and it's completely free!!

The Second and Last Sunday of each month are dedicated to two successful Poetry/Open mic evenings. Second Sunday is the Poetry Pulpit hosted by Sally Jenkins and Liz Greenfield. Last Sunday of the month is our Shhh... it's Sunday hosted by Rebecca Tantony.
